Moustapha Abidali, DO

Dr. Moustapha Abidali completed his undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Arizona.  He then received his medical degree from Midwestern University – Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at the University of Arizona. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Medicine.

At California Pulmonary Associates, Dr. Abidali’s focus is on pulmonary diseases including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, obstructive sleep apnea, and lung cancer. He has received special training in multiple procedures including flexible bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy, and percutaneous tracheostomy.

As an attending physician at multiple hospitals in Los Angeles and San Bernardino County, Dr. Abidali enjoys teaching and mentoring medical students and residents. Additionally, he has published extensively in many journals. Dr. Abidali is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society and is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease.

When not working, Dr. Abidali enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, watching movies, and exercising.

Jaspreet Ahuja, MD

Dr. Jaspreet Ahuja graduated and finished
his Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship from Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, NY. After training, Dr. Ahuja worked in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and served as the Medical Director of Critical Care services for several years before moving to California.

He has over 10 years of experience in taking care of Pulmonary and Critical Care patients. His specialty interests include COPD, Asthma, COVID-19 and Long COVID-19-related Pulmonary Diseases, Smoking Cessation, and Interstitial Lung Diseases.

Alexander Kassar, MD

Dr. Kassar is a Pulmonary and Board certified critical care physician. His interests within pulmonary medicine include focusing on ways to prevent flairs of chronic lung diseases, specifically asthma, and COPD while looking for non-pharmacologic interventions that can improve quality of life and day-to-day symptoms.  

Rohinder Sandhu, MD

Dr. Sandhu is a Pulmonary, Sleep, and Palliative care physician at California Pulmonary Associates. Her special interests include COPD, Asthma, Sleep Medicine disorders, and Interstitial Lung Diseases. She is affiliated with several acute care hospitals in San Bernadino and LA county and also serves as Chief of Staff at Chino Valley Medical Center.

Owais Zaidi, MD

Dr. Owais Zaidi is a pulmonary and critical care medicine physician at California Pulmonary Associates. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Zaidi earned his medical degree at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and completed his internal medicine residency at LAC-USC Keck School of Medicine. He subsequently completed a pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at the Keck USC school of medicine.

Dr. Zaidi is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, and Society of Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Zaidi has been in practice since 2013 and has privileges at San Antonio regional hospital, Prime health Hospital along with Emanate health. Dr. Zaidi is dedicated to the delivery of quality patient-centered care with a comprehensive, individualized, and cutting-edge approach. He is committed to providing high-quality care to patients affected by pulmonary disease, sleep-related disorders, or life-threatening critical illnesses

Dr. Nutan Bhaskar

Dr. Nutan Bhaskar is a highly qualified and experienced pulmonary and critical care physician, who has recently relocated to California from Little Rock, Arkansas. With a passion for helping patients with respiratory conditions, Dr. Bhaskar’s areas of interest include COPD, asthma, lung cancer, OSA, and pleural diseases.

Dr. Bhaskar has extensive experience in the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine, and is affiliated with several hospitals and LTAC facilities in San Bernardino and LA County.

In addition to his medical work, Dr. Bhaskar is an avid golfer, runner, and biker. He enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active. Dr. Bhaskar believes that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is an essential aspect of overall well-being, and he encourages his patients to incorporate physical activity into their daily routines.

Dr. Bhaskar is committed to providing the highest level of care to his patients. He believes in a patient-centered approach to medicine, and takes the time to listen to his patients’ concerns and answer their questions. His goal is to help his patients achieve optimal respiratory health, and he works closely with them to develop personalized treatment plans that meet their individual needs.

Nicole De Angeis, NP

Nicole De Angelis is a nurse practitioner at California Pulmonary Associates.   She worked as a critical care nurse at San Antonio Regional Hospital for 12 years and has transitioned as a pulmonary nurse practitioner at our practice.  She has a particular interest in assisting individuals to recover from various pulmonary conditions such as COVID-19, asthma, COPD, and pneumonia.  
Nicole attended the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA.  Nicole is dedicated to educating patients about their health and believes in a provider-patient collaborative approach to care.
